Gravel Road Builders & Construction Services, LLC is a forward-thinking construction company serving New Orleans and its surrounding areas.
Our foundation
After reviewing genealogical evidence, Travis learned that his third great-grandfather, John Brown, was an engineer and his second great-grandfather, William Brown, was a carpenter. After learning this information, Travis wanted to honor his ancestors’ contributions to the building of Louisiana and named his company after the street where his ancestors last resided.
Travis Banks opened Gravel Road Builders & Construction Services, LLC (GRBCS) in 2016 in New Orleans, LA. GRBCS is a full-service contracting, construction management, and consulting firm. Our projects have ranged from creating a replica of a cabin that family lived in to a multi-story church, and we treat each project with the same compassion.
Our mission is to provide clients with a seamless experience by delivering projects ahead of schedule, under budget, and with minimal waste. We guarantee our work, uphold our legacy of trustworthiness, craftsmanship, and professionalism, and instill these values in our team. Whether the project is small or large, we ensure it withstands the test of time and nature, delivering each with honesty, confidence, and excellence.
We are focused on revolutionizing construction by integrating modern techniques like LEAN, Building Information Modeling (BIM), 5D, and other innovative methods to consistently deliver projects under budget and ahead of schedule.
Leadership
Travis brings over 25 years of construction experience, rooted in a family legacy of building Louisiana. Mentored by his father, Travis began working on residential and commercial projects in his youth and by the mid-1990s, he was overseeing project planning and construction.
Travis holds a Master’s degree and Post-Bachelor’s in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Southern University at New Orleans, and an Associate’s degree in Architecture from Delgado Community College.
